Functions of Community Development
- To assist communities in formation of voluntary organization under Voluntary Social Welfare registration and control Act 1961.
- Technical and financial assistance to voluntary organizations.
- To assist communities in formation of Citizen Community Boards (CCBs) under local Govt. (LG) ordinance 2001.
- To assist CCBs in Planning and Execution of Developmental activities.
- Women development and welfare activities.
- Special Education.
- Financial and Technical assistance to special persons.
- Rehabilitation of drug addicts.
- Eradication of Beggary.
- Child welfare.
- Prisoner's welfare.
- Coordination with other line Departments/Organizations.
- Supervision of Sarkari Saray (New Activity)
- Welfare of senior Citizens.
